About Forest Partners International

Mission: To promote sustainable natural resource management practices globally in regions of high biodiversity through partnerships that address biodiversity and human needs.

Vision: Forest Partners' vision is to promote conservation of biodiversity through long-term partnerships with other organizations, communities, and individuals that also build human capacity.

Core Beliefs:

The future of rural people and the environments in which they live are inextricably connected
The conservation of globally important centers of biodiversity will require the support of local communities and peoples through innovative partnerships that benefit both the community and conservation
Effective conservation action requires the support of accurate and appropriate data
Communities, as well as governments, can positively promote conservation
Improved education and health care are necessary steps in combating rural poverty
Community partnerships with conservation organizations to plan, develop and implement conservation programs can have effective and long-lasting impacts
